MBS Impact Modifier, also known as MBS resin, is a copolymer comprising methyl methacrylate, butadiene, and styrene. Its compatibility with PVC is remarkable due to a solubility parameter ranging from 94 to 95, closely matching that of PVC. MBS Impact Modifier can improve impact performance, tensile strength, elongation at break, transparency, and light transmittance, often exceeding 90%. However, it should be noted that this modifier exhibits limited heat resistance and weather resistance, making it less suitable for long-term outdoor applications.

Excellent Improvement in Mechanical Properties
The addition of MBS Impact Modifier can effectively remedy the performance deficiencies of PVC and engineering plastics and greatly enhance the drop resistance and impact resistance of plastic products. Superior Transparency Performance

Plastic products modified with MBS can achieve a stable light transmittance of over 90%, featuring clear, uniform color and excellent surface appearance. It is especially suitable for manufacturing high-transparency packaging sheets, medical hoses and transparent building materials.
Excellent Processing Adaptability
During plasticization, entanglement and friction between MBS particles and PVC primary particles accelerate the breakdown and gelation of PVC granules, shorten plasticizing time, reduce melt viscosity to improve flow uniformity. Meanwhile, it shortens material residence time inside extruders or injection molding machines, thereby inhibiting thermal degradation of PVC, protecting equipment and enhancing surface gloss of finished products. It is compatible with multiple processing technologies including extrusion, injection molding and calendering, effectively boosting production efficiency and lowering processing energy consumption.

Applications in Transparent PVC Products
This represents the most core and mature application field for MBS resins. It is widely adopted in transparent PVC pipes and fittings, transparent sheets, slabs, thermoformed articles, transparent packaging films, medical transparent PVC components and other products. While improving the toughness of products and preventing cracking and deformation, it fully maintains the high-transparency appearance of finished goods, meeting quality requirements for food packaging, medical equipment, household building materials and other sectors.
General PVC Modified Products
It can be applied to various rigid, semi-rigid and flexible PVC industrial products and daily plastic articles.
