Stearoylbenzoylmethane (SBM),also known as 1-phenyl-1,3-eicosanedione, with molecular formula C26H42O2, is an organic compound. Stearoylbenzoylmethane is a light white powder with no special odour, soluble in solvents such as toluene, acetone, trichloromethane and ethyl acetate, insoluble in water and hexane.
