DBM is a β-diketone product, as a new auxiliary heat stabiliser for PVC, used with calcium/zinc, it is white or light yellow crystalline powder, easily soluble in ether, chloroform, xylene, toluene and aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in water.
As a new type of PVC auxiliary heat stabiliser, it has high transmittance and low odour; it is used in solid or liquid calcium/zinc, barium/zinc and other heat stabilisers and can greatly improve the initial colouring of PVC, transparency, long term stability, as well as precipitation and "zinc burning" in the processing process, etc.; it is characterized by a very good synergistic effect in the zinc soap, and can effectively inhibit the "zinc burn" by adding it to the formula. The addition of this product can effectively inhibit the "zinc burn", suitable for hard, low odour areas of implementation.
Dibenzoylmethane can absorb UV light above 290nm, and at the same time has a light stabilising effect, providing long-term stability for PVC products.
