Is your PVC extruder overloaded? Discover "Internal Lubricant G60"
Sep 07, 2026

Internal Lubricant G60 is a solid, non-toxic internal lubricant based on neutral saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid esters (many grades utilize the chemical structure of glycerol monostearate). It appears as white-to-pale-yellow flakes or powder, with a melting point above 50°C and a flash point above 240°C, ensuring stability across the entire PVC processing temperature range.

The "internal" lubrication characteristic is crucial. While external lubricants (such as paraffin wax or PE wax) adhere to metal surfaces to prevent the melt from sticking to the barrel and screw, internal lubricants function differently: they dissolve into the PVC melt, reducing friction between polymer chains, thereby facilitating smoother melt flow and more uniform plasticization.

Specific functions in the extruder:

·Reduces melt viscosity—allows the screw to rotate more easily, lowering torque and amperage

·Stabilizes the plasticization process—prevents sudden torque spikes

·Improves melt flow and distribution—enhances filling and reduces weak points at weld lines

·Shortens melting time and promotes more uniform gelation

·Ultimate result: lowers energy consumption per unit of output and often increases production line speed

Observable effects on the production line:

·Lower amperage and a smoother torque curve

·More stable output; reduced downtime caused by amperage fluctuations

·Superior surface quality; fewer gel particles and "fish-eyes"

·Clean processing—no visible blooming or exudation

Thanks to its excellent compatibility with PVC and low tendency to migrate, Internal Lubricant G60 remains within the product matrix. This makes it a trusted choice for applications such as transparent films—it causes no exudation (blooming) or haze and does not compromise transparency.
