During the processing of PVC, 1% to 5% of PVC resin should be added as processing aids. ACR is the most commonly used processing aid and has been widely used in the main processing methods of PVC, such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, vacuum forming, and rolling. The general view on the mechanism of ACR as a processing aid for modifying PVC is that ACR adheres to PVC resin particles through longer molecular chains, transferring external heat and shear forces to the resin, promoting its melting and plasticization, reducing the processing temperature, increasing melt strength, improving the appearance quality of the product, while not reducing the rigidity of rigid PVC.
In summary, it has the following functions:
(1) It can have good compatibility with PVC at processing temperature, promoting uniform and synchronous plasticization.

(6) Improve the consistency of PVC product quality, such as appearance gloss, tensile strength, impact strength, and elongation at break.
(7) Maintaining the excellent properties of PVC can promote smooth processing in various processing machinery processes and effectively improve its weather resistance.
(8) Significantly reduce the deposition of various additive components such as stabilizers, pigments, etc. on the surface of processing machinery.
